Making an Impact
Heroes and Helpers are among us everywhere, including Blevins Middle School on Taft Hill Road. SRO Jaclyn Shaklee recently recognized a unique opportunity to support a student who did not have reliable means of getting to and from school. Too close for bussing and too far to walk, the youth’s grades began to slip because he simply did not have reliable transportation.
With funds donated by Laramie River Valley Rendezvous, the Benevolent Fund was able to help this deserving and excited Blevins student, who was escorted by SRO Shaklee to pick out a brand-new bicycle. Joining in the official delivery was Officer Dexter Rowe, the Benevolent Fund’s Director.
