Charitable Organization

On April 12, 2021, Officer Aaron Herrington, who has been with Ault Police Department since 2008, and is a member of Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 62, suffered a possible Pulmonary Embolism while at home. His wife found him and started life-saving measures. EMS arrived and continued significant efforts to preserve life and was successful in getting him to Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins. Officer Herrington is currently on life support and fighting for his life. Officer Herrington was a stranger to no one, and this event is heavy on the heart of many.

FOP Lodge 3 Benevolent Fund will be raising funds for The Herrington Family on behalf of Lodge 62. All funds raised will go directly to the family of Officer Herrington.

We would ask that any inquires be directed through a family liaison.

  • Lt. Mike Knee – Family Liaison  970-397-1080

  • Sgt. Jerry Sharp – Logistics and Planning Liaison / FOP Point of Contact

Thanks goes out to Lodge 3 (Ft. Collins), Lodge 4 (Larimer County S.O.), Lodge 55 (Troopers), Lodge 62 (Weld County).  All four lodges have contributed to helping with immediate financial needs to ensure the family can focus on caring for Officer Herrington.
